Which is better for dropping your body fat percentage?
Paragraph:
This is a really ugly topic and if you look at the internet or google and look at the number one hit for Fat burning vs. Cardio zone you'll see it is really unsatisfactory. So let me take a stab at it from my personal research and my experiences and from what I've heard from the Devil, The Creator and Jesus. Interesting right? Well, those three didn't put in much effort but Lucifer did say that fat burning zone is better for burning pure fat or what I should say is it burns a higher percentage of fat vs. muscle than cardio burning zone.
Cardio burning zone could burn, possibly 50% fat, 50% muscle when you get going vs. fat burning zone burning 75% fat and 25% muscle. From my studies in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry I'd say that fat burning zone is burning a higher percentage of fat vs. muscle; however, if you want to lose overall weight then cardio zone might be better but a lot of that weight is going to come from your muscle.
This website and blog is really about steroids so I want to talk about it from the perspective of someone taking steroids (someone putting a heavy burden on your heart). If you are taking steroids fat burning zone is probably a lot better than cardio burning zone unless your competing in iron men athletics etc. Fat burning zone is less likely to give you a heart attack and we all know that steroids feel like a heart attack waiting to happen if you weigh in on how hard your heart is beating i.e. how many calories extra you burn while you take steroids. Follow me? I think that is another reason to use fat burning zone.
One piece of advice worth mentioning is what I stumbled upon after looking at forums to see what people had to say about this. One dude who was at about 7% body fat and looked really lean said you should do fat burning zone for 30 minutes a day after your workout because your body is already in fat burning zone from lifting weights. That's what I'm doing except I'm doing an hr of cardio a day about 2-3x a week right now because I'm trying to get the government-recommended amount of cardio done each week. The gov't recommends 5 hrs of cardio a week, 1 hr of cardio a day at a moderate intensity, take it for what it's worth.
In other words, to save your hard-earned liver-induced drug injury, use fat burning zone to preserve as much muscle as you can. In the encyclopedia of bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenneger, he recommends no more than 30 minutes of cardio a day. I've seen many bodybuilders below 10% body fat that don't do any cardio and they ripped because they get too skinny. Of course, their not hung like big daddy here with his big dick physics.
